Sorben in der Tschechoslowakei 1945 – 1949

Autoren

Ludwig Elle,  Bautzen

Sorbs in Czechoslovakia 1945-1949

Immediately after World War II some Sorbian circles began to promote the annexation of Lusatia to Czechoslovakia. They successfully managed to obtain support from influential politicians in Prague and from the organization "Společnost přátel Lužice". More than 2,000 Lusatian Sorbs temporarily resided in Czechoslovakia in the years 1945 to 1948. Some worked, others attended to special Sorbian schools that had been set up or received academic degrees.

This paper shows the political background of the special post-war relationship between the Sorbs and Czechoslovakians and the everyday life of the Sorbs in Czechoslovakia.

The so called "special relations" of the Sorbs and their organization, the Domowina, to the neighbouring country as well as the activities of the "Společnost přátel Lužice" were critically and suspiciously observed by the SED. With the integration of the Sorbian organization into the political system of the GDR, sorbian-czech special relation was obstructed. Many of the Sorbs who completed their studies in Czechoslovakia were to be found in leading positions in education, culture, science and politics of the bilingual Lusatia until 1989.

Serbja w Čěskosłowakskej 1945 - 1949

Njeposrědnje po zakónčenju Druheje swětoweje wójny propagowachu někotre serbske kruhi, podpěrane wot wliwapołnych politikarjow w Praze a wot z lěta 1907 wobstejaceho "Společnost přátel Lužice", přizamknjenje Łužicy k ČSR. Nic naposledk w tutym zwisku mamy widźeć, zo přebywaše mjez 1945 a 1948 přibližnje 2.000 Łužiskich Serbow nachwilnje w Čěskosłowakskej. Woni tam dźěłachu, wopytachu za nich zarjadowane serbske šule abo studowachu.

Přinošk předstaji politiske pozadki wosebitych serbsko-čěskich poćahow a wšědny dźeń w ČSR bydlacych Serbow.

"Wosebite poćahi" Serbow a jich organizacije Domowiny do susodneho kraja kaž tež aktiwity towarstwa "Společnost přátel Lužice" wobkedźbowaše strona SED z njedowěru. Mnozy Serbja, kotřiž so w ČSR wukubłachu resp. tam studowachu słušachu hač do lěta 1989 do serbskeje elity na polu kubłanja, kultury, wědomosće a politiki.
