This study examines an exile newspaper of the 1920s: the "Bécsi Magyar Újság" (Vienna, 1919-1923), which was one of the largest daily papers to be published in the Hungarian emigration. This quality newspaper also served as one of the most influential Hungarian-language opposition platforms for politics, art and economics.
This hitherto rarely examined medium provides much information on Vienna and Budapest. Many of the paper's core topics are still relevant today, such as the role of art after the First World War orthe problems of anti-Semitism.
