Calls for film submissions

The following four festivals are open for submissions with the deadline February 2009:
 
1) International Documentary Film Festival “CRONOGRAF” (14.5. – 18.5.2009) in Chisinau/Republic of Moldova – February 1st
 
2) Vienna Independent Shorts (14.5. – 20.5.2009) in Vienna/Austria – February 1st
 
3) Academia Film Olomouc (14.4. – 19.4.2009) in Olomouc/Czech Republic – February 8th
 
4) Titanic International Filmfestival (26.3. – 5.4.2009) in Budapest/Hungary – February 26th
 
1) CRONOGRAF: There are two competition sections: Documentary Film Section (Regulations and Entry form) and cadRO Section (Regulations and Entry form), dedicated to documentaries, which tackle issues related to the life of Romanians or Romanian communities from all over the world.
The International Documentary Film Festival CRONOGRAF is the only film festival in Moldova. It takes place yearly in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova, since 2001. First of all, the Festival includes an international section of Documentary Film and secondly, three sections dedicated to local producers: Video Advertising, Music Video, Local TV Productions.
 
2) VIS: Short films of up to 30 minutes may be submitted, regardless of the year of production. Download entry form and observe the participation conditions.
VIS Vienna Independent Shorts is the largest international short film festival in Austria. The festival has an international competition for short films as well as a panorama section for works from Austria. These sections are supplemented by numerous special and guest programmes. Besides the main award Golden Shorts – Short Film Award of the City of Vienna there are several other film awards in 2009, among them two audience awards.
 
3) AFO: The market of documentary films is open to film makers from all around the world. The festival and the documentary market DOC.Port accept films of any length. The choice of DOC.Port films concerns only such documentaries that were not included within last years of DOC.Port market and were produced after January 1st, 2007. Here you can enter the competition online or you can download the entry form in .doc format.
The Academia Film Olomouc is the oldest festival in the Czech Republic to focus on consistent mapping of popular scientific and documentary film.
 
4) Titanic: Fiction films, which are longer than 70 minutes. Submitted films should have been produced after the 1st of January 2008 and should not have been screened in Hungary previously. Click here to submit your film.
Titanic International Film Festival regards it especially important to introduce those remarkable, innovative feature fiction films from all around the world that perhaps may never reach Hungarian film distribution. The best film of the competition section of Titanic – according to the votes of an international jury – receives the prestigious BREAKING WAVES AWARD, which comes with a € 8.000 prize.
