Eingebettet in ein historisch-kinematografisches Ambiente werden fünf Tage lang und bereits zum zehnten Mal ausgewählte Stummfilme auf eine opulente Open Air Leinwand projiziert: Von 11. bis zum 15. August wird es Stumm & Laut im Erholungspark Laaerberg; große Stummfilmwerke begleitet von neuer elektronischer Live-Musik. Filme: Sodom und Gomorrah (A 1922, Michael Kertész), Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari (D 1919, Robert Wiene), Misrech und Majrev – Ost und West (A 1923, Sidney M. Goldin), Die Bergkatze (D 1921, Ernst Lubitsch) und Steamboat Beat Jr. (USA 1928, Charles Reisner und Buster Keaton).

The 14th edition of Sofia IFF will take place March 5-14 2010. For the first year besides the traditional programmes, running in Plovdiv and Burgas, the Festival will visit over 10 more Bulgarian cities, among which are Blagoevgrad, Stara Zagora, Russe, Sliven, Gabrovo, Haskovo, Kurjali, Lovetch and others.
