Two Conferences have to be announced. The first one starts next week (April 7-10 2005, Central European University, Budapest): Academic Migrations, Elite Formation and Modernisation of Nation States in Europe (second part of the 19th century - 1939)
The Conference languages will be English, French and German.

The other one starts at the End of April (28.4.-30.4.2005; in in Königswinter [near Bonn]): Policy Towards the Jews in the Newly Founded States of Southeastern and East Central Europe During the Interwar Period. A Comparative Index of Crisis and Identity-Policy
The Conference languages will be English and German.
Organized by Pasts Inc. Center for Historical Studies, Central European University (Budapest) and the research network "Academic migration within and to Europe" the international Conference Academic Migrations, Elite Formation and Modernisation of Nation States in Europe (second part of the 19th century - 1939) starts on April 7, 2005:
